CODA-5x1x gateways enable DOCSIS 3.1 multi-Gigabit speeds to meet today and tomorrow’s bandwidth needs for ultra-high-definition streaming, work from home, remote learning and more
Centennial, CO – June 16, 2020 – Hitron Technologies, the fastest growing DOCSIS customer premise equipment (CPE) manufacturer in North America, today announced that its CODA-5x1x family of DOCSIS 3.1 Wi-Fi 6 gateways is shipping to service providers.
The powerful CODA family delivers DOCSIS 3.1 multi-Gigabit services, enabling residential and SMB subscribers to connect more devices and enjoy richer ultra-high-definition, real-time applications. Integrated Wi-Fi 6 (4×4 802.11ax dual band MU-MIMO) with support for 160Mhz channels, provides wireless networking that is four times faster than the previous generation. Select models also support a 2.5 Gbps LAN port, multiple 1 Gbps LAN ports, MoCA 2.0 networking and two HD voice ports to be the hub of service delivery in the home.
The CODA-5x1x gateways delivers both DOCSIS 3.1 2×2 multi-carrier OFDM and DOCSIS 3.0 32×8 channel bonding. As a result, providers can deploy the gateways on their current DOCSIS 3.0 network. When they upgrade to DOCSIS 3.1, they can seamlessly offer subscribers higher speed tiers and bandwidth without having to swap out hardware.
“Staying connected is more important than ever. Our CODA DOCSIS 3.1 Wi-Fi 6 gateways give subscribers the fast speeds and lower latency they need to work from home, enjoy lag-free gaming and stunning 4K/8K streaming, complete remote learning assignments, and more – even when everyone is home at the same time,” said Greg Fisher, President at Hitron Americas.
Designed for carriers, the CODA gateways are remotely manageable via SNMP and TR-069. They also support the Hitron Ecosystem, including HitronCloud, a cloud-based solution that monitors, manages and optimizes the home’s broadband gateway and Wi-Fi networks.
